Because the extra load on the engine facilitates lean running, hence over heating if not properly accounted for. This is not the full scale FW 190. The fan on the full scale was on a gear reduction, not spinning the same rpm as the prop.

Again, good for static display in competition, otherwise.... ho hum! Nobody is gonna care about your scale cooling fan spinning while it is flying. But they will when you are fighting deadsticks from lean runs. In the immortal words of Dave Platt : "It has to fly". I find it best to set up my model airplanes to do just that. These are not the full scale, just a representation.
