The Rustler, like the Stampede 4X4 VXL, can generally handle 2S out of the box. Start running 3S regularly and things start to break... FAST!

I have MIP XDuty axles on one of my Stampede 4X4 VXLs and I have yet to break an axle and I run that truck full out on 3S and do not treat it nicely. On my Rustler VXL the Traxxas steel axles are holding up fine but I tend to just blast around the grass with my Rustler.
That is good info to know. So far Ive broken two output axles on my 4x4 VXL and I think your right both times were with a 3s and being crazy with it.2s ive not broken anything. Not bad I don't run it a lot but had it about a yr so far.
