Default Some progress on my Sherman

Here is some progress on the Sherman I am re-building for my son.

Did some weathering on the rear of the lower hull. I'm pleased with how the exhaust turned out:

I've got to do some touch-up paint work on the turret where I ripped off the failed grab handles. This shot shows my weathering of the tracks. As I understand it, the pads on this variant were rubber, so I tried to weather only the metal bits.

Here you can see a bit of the front of the lower hull that I have also weathered:

I'm really pleased with the Tamiya Olive Drab. When it dries, you can buff it and it takes on a real metallic look. I'm going to need to seal the tank weathering (pastels) when I'm done and I'm afraid I'm going to lose that metallic/burnished look.
