It does, unfortunately it is hard to find the wheat from the chaff.
The control surfaces are subjected to a lot of forces that we don't think about all that much.
I used the stock control rods, etc. when I first built mine and beefed them up a lot after reading some posts on this thread.
Here is a great video of what vibration is doing to the control rods on the ailerons.
If you look close, near the end of the video, you will see the horizontal stab leading edge moving up and down at the tip. That twisting can be bad news too. That's a good reason to brace the tail feathers even though it is not a requirement in the instructions.
