It’s basically servo testers driving the stock ECUs we had to make special looms. There are 4 Mini GSUs in the cockpit so each engine can be monitored.
Haven't decided whether we will run Li-fe or Li-Po batteries, but because the 220Rxi charges once it’s running size is not so important. Since I started flying my Mephisto back in Dec 2017 I have not charged the ECU pack. Even after a 2 month sit it started first time and by the end of the flight was back to 96%
Each turbine in this is independent, the overal weight is critical to the project meeting the UK’s rules and it gives redundancy over one or two units.
Yes, there are moulds, each finished wing panel complete weights less than 15kg.
