I know this is an old thread, as it is now Nov 18 2018 but I am currently struggling to build a Duelist 2/40 from 40 year old kit I got on Ebay.about a month ago. Glad to see I am not the only one that thinks the instructions are 'not the best' and one needs some building experience to figure some of this stuff out that the instructions and plans just don't cover or tell you about. I plan on going wit fixed gear to help with the 'not always good' grass fields I am restricted to using, and can go to larger wheels if need be. .I will also be checking with a pal to install electric rather than .40 glow. I've been told this will greatly add a safety factor to the engine out possibility. And will have contra rotation on the props. I have bookmarked this Forum page and will return often to look at the construction photos shown here. ThANKS for posting them!
