Hi Tom, I get what you are saying but the model he has, does not have a TBU compatible plug on the board like my IBU does.
Through his forum search on their site, he found the photos of the Tamiya Apple plugged in via that 5 pin JST to JST but did not see it for sale on their site or any other mention of it. It would also require fabricating a base, which he didn't want to do. He assumed as I did that he TBU would plug right in to the board like on my IBU. He doesn't use FB, I keep trying to get him on their as there is so much community extension there. Maybe eventually. He needs to use the Tamiya Apple as that is our club standard. We don't allow the blue ones because they only score one in several hits. So anything other than a Tamiya apple solution was not an option from the start.
I said try a clark 60 or 80 but he went all out and got a super Sherman! A better solution.
