Yes - the latest model (the Maker) can cut balsa with the "knife blade" attachment (essentially a commercial x-acto blade) with ease. This model came out last year.
Thanks, I will definitely need to check that out. I have a 1/10 scale B-17 project that something like this would help a lot. The plans call for balsa plywood, so essentially several layers of balsa would need to be cut exactly the same and then glued up.
