Rcmigpilot, the surface is glassed, primed and sanded with 200 grit. I rub the flite metal on fairly aggressive. This gets rid of a lot of the orange peel texture. I then burnish with varying scotch brite pads to achieve the look I’m looking for in different panels. No orange peel can be seen after that step. However, a polished finish is difficult to get rid of the orange peel texture. Therefore, I try to replicate models that are a bit worn and not a show piece. Barry
