We had the same doomsayers in Canada over this but MAAC and Transport Canada kept plugging. I don't think in the end its going to be much different for you guys. Cooler heads will prevail and a working agreement will come to pass. I really hope so I don't want to loose my flying south of the border. In fact on my way to Newfoundland this year I intend to stop at a few fields as I cross the north east US.

True, but Canada doesn't have near the air traffic US cities have; from what I understand basically if you are a MAAC member and registered u can fly on all MAACS flying sites; I believe this is what the AMA wants deep down, they want the FAA to say you can fly but at AMA only sanctioned sights.
