i have a 306b as per the title, i have built a resistor bank with 6 1ohm 100w aluminium clad resistors in parallel, i connect the resistor pack in series with the positive terminal as per the manual.
when i go into disc+ and put 20amps in and press start the charger displays up to 6.7amps then drops down to 3.4amp which is the maximum internal discharge. The resistors dont get hot. Its like the charger doesn't know that the resistor pack is there.
the discharge bank works as have connected to 12v pb battery and they get hot.
any ideas on what im doing wrong or what may be up with the charger?

I am sure you already have the manual for the iCharger 306b, but I copied pages 11 and 18 (attached, just in case)
It appears you cannot do a regenerative discharge at high current (page 11) based on the comment at the bottom of page 18.
I owned the iCharger 306b, but I never tried to use an external load for high current discharge or a regenerative discharge. I always suffered with the maximum built-in rate of 2A.
