Brian,

That is not always the case. You can tip the Raptor flybar or some others and it doesn't affect the pitch reading. I know if I tip the flybar on my X-Cell it changes it quit a bit. It all depends on the mixing ratio that the head was desinged with. Some you can get away with the flybar not being level and on others you have to have the flybar at 90 deg angle to the mast. It's good practice to have the flybar parallel to the tail boom just in case.
