Who was the driver that told you not to buy a Cen? PM me if you don't want to post here. From my dealings with Cen, they have a great deal of trust in their trucks and will go to great lenths to get them in to the hands of anyone. I have not seen the problems with stripping on the spur gears. The one gear I stripped was my own fault, and I can tell you exactly what happened if you are interested. Other than that, I have not broken anything on my truck. And if you can't walk in to your LHS and have them work on a nitro truck, you need a new LHS. Regardless of brand, nitro trucks are pretty much the same. the parts may be in different places, but the theories are all the same.
