My proline did the same thing on my truck. I had two options with it. move the body up or down, or cut the body. I decided to cut the body and then realized that I could have raised the body and cut a lot less off.
Also, for those of up doing hop-ups, if you put an aftermarket head on your truck and start having problems, the aftermarket head is very hard to tune with. I ended up stripping my factory head and polishing it. But if you want to be more creative, you could use an anodizing paint on it, or have it powdercoated.
