The Triple Tree Aerodrome is located in Woodruff SC. Think rural. The field and grounds are fantastic - lush grass, large pond for float planes, swap meet area, food venders....
Also think heat and humidity - the Nall is held in May.
Your girlfriend will probably be bored and not want to follow you as you wander up and down the flight line gawking at airplanes telling her how cool that one is and oh man I've gotta get one of those......
Motels I think are on I-385 exit 24 but I can't be sure - there were several nice ones on the same exit as a Walmart. There are more in Greenville and Spartanburg along I-85.
Camping on site is allowed, they now have showers - see their site (Joenall.com) for more info on this.
If you have a detailed map - the field is a little closer to the town of Enoree than Woodruff along US 221.
You must have your AMA card on you in order to get in. Don't forget it at home.
I have never flown during the event, but yes, you can fly. Must be 80" span or 25% scale to fly. I'm not sure if you have to register but they have strict freq control as you can imagine.
It's a great event to just kickback and enjoy yourself.
