Default RE: Lean?

id like to offer some help. start your engine and drive around a few minutes to bring the temp up. firs set the hi speed needle .richen it up at first then slowly start to lean it out 1/8th of a turn at a time until you no longer se an improvement in top speed. now set the lo speed needle. to do this increase your idle using the idle set screw. then start adding fuel 1/16th to 1/8th at a time until the engine just starts to show hesitation of the line. in my opinion this is close to the most ideal setting. cuz at hi speeds your cooling fin will be most efficient, hence you can skimp a "bit", which will raise the temp a little, but as soon as your off the throttle it gets a nice dose of cooling feul. your engine will also be extremely easy to start when set this way.
