Yes, JR is different polarity in the charge plug than other brands, JR is center pin negative. I'm not sure on the hobbico part, likely that is what they have done, but I can not say for certain, you would need to ask them to know for sure. With a banana jack set up, you can likely plug the red into the black and vice versa to get the polarity is correct, but verify this is correct before charging.
