RE: LT-40 aftermarket nosegear
My vote is for the Sullivan knuckle gear (which only comes in one size). Cheap, light and much less prone to bending than the straight type gear wire that comes with the LT-40. And it will fit right into the existing LT-40 bearing assembly.
I'm sure Fults would work great but its probably a little overkill- more expensive and heavier.
