Default Gone-O-Sphere

Hey Bill,

I am a regular visitor to the gon-o- sphere with my Gremlin. After I get done terrorizing the earthworms near the splat-o-sphere, when the fuel is getting low, I enjoy climbing into the gon-o-sphere and killing the engine in a dive and letting it come straight down over the runway before pulling a deadstick loop to a landing approach. The "wooooosh" of the wind as the gremlin pulls the loop just sounds really cool to me.

The favourite trick of my old instructor was to wait until the last flight of the day, after most sensible folks had gone home. He would take the plane right into gone-o-sphere (just blink and you will loose it), wait until the engine runs out of fuel and dead sticks then glide that baby back and land straight into the pits.....witnessing his skill of flying that plane literally to his feet (remember he's standing in the pit area) was something to behold.

It reminds of the famous motto of the British SAS: "Who Dares Wins" - As yet, I haven't dared.
