From what I understand, Futaba uses a narrow front end to ensure better noise rejection. With this said, the band pass filters are tuned at CH 23 and CH 36
While your system will work putting a CH58 crystal in a CH 22 receiver, your range will be shorter than normal.

I was wondering why futaba is the only company that uses high and low receivers?
So far they are the only ones to do this. What gives? Does this mean that you
can not use a receiver that was bought on 22 with a 58 crystal?
