Default RE: Avistar conversion

Bad news

Burnt up a second Panther 17x2 car motor on this conversion. Both times after runinng for about 3 minutes when using 10 cells. No problems on 8 cells just low power. The brushes look good , but the motor is extremely hot and tight to turn. After cooling for an hour I tried it again and it ran for about 15 secs then cut out and was already hot. Some times it won't even turn. A friend says it smells like the armature is burnt. Endoplasma and 3.8:1 here I come.

I'd go back to brushless, but what would I do with that $75.00 Griffen.
