Sorry but you're outta luck as far as upgrades go. Keep it the way it is and if you want something faster get another boat. It will be cheaper and easier that way.
Nikko uses printed circuit boards and on/off servo control. You would have to upgrade EVERYTHING except the hull to make a half way fast running boat.
