Seriously though, I loved that Bermuda grass when I lived up there in OKC, once you got it going, you couldn't kill it if you tried. You could scalp it down with lawn mower to the very ground and you won't hurt it. It'll gown on that tough clay-ey Okla. red dirt where no other grass will.
Down here in Houston, folks seem to like this St Augustine grass. I don't like it but I'll admit the rougher wider grass blade does make a tougher runway. My builder laid St Augustine on my front yard since that's what everybody else has, but I just let Bermuda spread all by itself on my backyard. I much prefer the feel of that soft Bermuda on my bare feet.
