RE: Shrike .40 first flight question
A friend of mine let me fly his LA .40 powered shrike and it was making a funny noise. I shrugged it off as being the silicone exhaust diverter. When I bought it down low for a high speed pass that funny noise was the wing in flutter. I handed the transmitter back to my buddy just before it went in. There was minimum damage. Aileron servo stripped.
After investigation it was found that the aileron linkage ( 1 servo and torque tubes) was a very sloppy installation.
