OS 46AX vs 50 SX on A Tuned Pipe which one for my new Patriot?
Guy's I am getting ready to build my 46 sized Patriot and I have read the article about the new OS 46AX in the current issue of Model Airplane News and it sounds like a real sweet running engine and I have a Macs Pre Tuned header and Quiet Tuned Pipe? Which will give me the most power? I did read in the article that the 46 AX likes 10% to 15% nitro and will ping (pre ignition)The reason I ask about the nitro content is because I run 15% Power Master with some extra castor oil added in all my smaller glow engines unless I need more nitro. Right now Hobby People has the 46AX on sale for 99:99 so I can just drive down and pick one up its a great price. I just thought I would ask and see what the opinion was on the 46AX. The plane doesn't need to be my fastest plane I just wanted something I could fly anytime so the engine needs to be dependable.
