A Q-500 with a Nelson or Jett front intake side exhaust engine will be very hard to beat around the pylons. About the only other thing that can beat it is a QM40 ship. Pylon racing planes are a lot like Indycars in that they are designed with excellent turning capabilities. The Diamond Dust would be more like a top fuel dragster
