20 votes out of 400+ viewings isn't bad; considering this is a non-binding straw poll. I think the important point is the ratio of respondents. Taking into accounts the efforts of both candidates, this could be skewed in either direction and not be an accurate representation.
It is in line (however) with the responses I've received when speaking to other clubs and individual modelers. When asked, one on one, most reiterate the same !QUOT!talking points!QUOT! IE: a lack of representation, a stagnation of activity within District 1, no real chance of communication within the district (why still no web site?, yet the incumbent does (despite his not publishing it) does maintain an email address) and the perception of favoritism. Some clubs haven't seen their VP in the last ten (10) years. I personally know of one club which sent in event write-ups two years straight which never made MA.
Is there any question why I'm asking for change in District 1?
