sounds like fun.
However, the QM40 aircraft are designed and built for front intake, side exhaust engines. You may have a heck of time installing the rear rotor - rear exhaust setup. Let us know how that works out with the modifications. The 46 VR will be right at home with the regular APC 7.4" QM props.
The older F-1 and FAI planes would, however, be more suited for that engine...the F1 engines were RIRE.

I definately agree with you on this one. QM40 is speed that incorporates absolute simplicity. Starting and setting the engine is not that much more difficult than on a Thunder Tiger .46
Start it, let it warm up a bit, turn the needle back to where it pretty much was the flight before, look for 22K on the tach....... and go fly.
