Default RE: New: Eflite Mini Funtana

Actually, I've been flying a production sample Mini Funtana for a few months now and a number of prototypes have been flown in the past 6 months. With the included gearbox (6.6:1 ratio), 12x6 prop, E-flite Park 400 4200kv motor, Thunder Power 3S 2100 10-12C capable pack, Phoenix 25 ESC, 4 JR 241 servos and a JR610M receiver the weight is just under 25 ounces ready to fly. This is the recommended motor combo and performance is awesome. Current draw is around 21-22 amps on a fully charge pack, producing close to 40 ounces of thrust. On a 25 ounce airplane, this is incredible vertical performance capable of all the 3D manuevers you can think of.

The Mini Funtana was demoed at SEFF this year and more recently at the JR Indoor Festival where everyone was very impressed with the power and performance. You can see a video of the Mini Funtana being flown by Mike McConville with the recommended motor set up here:

We should be updating the web page specs very soon - it should be around 20 ounces RTF less battery. The first batch of Mini Funtanas should in stock at your favorite local shop just before Christmas!
