Default RE: NEW: Tensor 4D - Building & Flying!

On the 2808- 860---I have tried everything from 11x4.7-to present setup 9x4.7 -APC sf all .on up to 15 oz Tribute!
for the best use of this motor - stay under 10 ozs - (my plane is just under 8 ozs.)
Then -you get super performance on th 9" prop on 3 small cells - I flew the new 3/1-350P-J Multiplex 3 cell pack today - one ounce!
flight first flight with this packwas easily over 5 minutes with plenty of performance-on a 9x5 APC - the 9x4/7 is better .
My first motor setups were with the 11x4.7 and these pull the motor too hard for best power and battery uses.
Your motor wil run either pack but it is wound for two cells in general use.
I really like this motor -my little 208 sq in Cassut is very quick when punched - .
I will build (?) my Tensor after Christms - I got one for my son and he got me one --
a TP 850 two cell will work -but I really prefer the 3 cell setups - most of my flying is done outdoors so I need more power for wind penetration.
I can't stress weight control enough - I can easily tell the difference in flying a one ounce or a 3 ounce pack -
Youcan do th Tensor at 9+ ounces and it will be fine .
These planes do fly rather differently -compared to most 3D monoplanes -so be prepared to mix and rebalance a bit o get a good feel .
I love this size/weight model -It will still work outside in a faint breeze although it's real forte is indoor flying.
