Am not familar with the ST's dimensions, but the space inside the cowl is quite large.
The distance from the firewall to the front of the cowl is about 6-1/2 inches, the cowl's inside rear diameter is about 10 inches, and the cowl's inside front diameter is about 7 inches. I only had to cut out a little of the cowl bottom to allow for my Q35's head fins. Would not think you'd have a problem fitting the ST inside.
