Well gang, i'm pleased to report it flys! Used a 7x3 APC prop and it seems to really fly it nicely! after the first flight i had to tone down the elevator a little as it was pretty sensitive at the speed it was travelling. First flight was cut short when the engine quit...not much of a glide...lol. we found that it ran better without muffler pressure so the second flight we went without and it ran great! did a bunch of circuits, some rolls etc. the long moment made it very stable and looked very cool in the air. the third flight wasn't as successful, upon launch it climbed to about 30 feet in the air and went with full down elevator into the ground like a lawn dart. did considerable damage to one wing panel. appears that the battery may have come loose and jammed onto the elevator linkage. well, after 2 evenings it's already to fly again with everything very secure inside!
i'll try and get some video at some point, but all in all i'm very pleased with it!!
