planeidiot, I tryed to solder the little ic that popped off my walkera board, but it did'nt work, so I now have a gws receiver, and a gws PHA-01 3 in 1 mixer installed and working properly. You might also want to check the gear mesh on your bird, it sounds like it's way too tight. Now that I've checked my gear mesh, the main motor never even gets warm. The tail motor still heats up though, and I have a gws direct drive tail motor conversion in the works.
