qsdriver, I don't see why it would make any difference on your locknuts. I always use socket head screws and you could still get the allen wrench on them from the bottom with the pipe on. Make sure you paint your front end, firewall and tank compartment with some epoxy to add some strength. Have fun and let us know how it flies!
