RE: Is AM transmitter still legal?
There is no rule against using AM. The only rule is the narrow banding, and if you got it gold stickered, which says it meets narrow band rules, you are ok to fly with it. Just remember, it must be on one of the new numbered channels (no yellow and white). Remember, you must have a clear channel just like any other radio, an AM radio will interefere with an FM radio on the same channel and vise versa.
