RE: Reciever won't work
You should be able to use the 6 channel receiver just fine.
What crystal did you try in the GWS receiver? If you tried the crystal from Futabe receiver then that is your problem. The Most Futaba receivers are dual conversion and the GWS is a single conversion receiver.
Other than that it could be just a defective receiver or crystal.
