Default RE: Great planes F14 Tomcat -engine suggestion

Hi,

Regarding the Eurokit [link=http://www.eurokit.us/custompage.asp?page=1]STRUTS[/link]. I purchased a pair of mains, and a nose strut to use with a set of [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LX7110&P=ML]B&D[/link] Retracts for my GP Patriot project which I have yet to begin.. I was trying to setup some cheap pneumatic gear for this plane, so I went with the B&D's for about $83, and $30 for the main Eurokit struts, and like $21 for the single steerable nose gear strut, (which looks the same as the mains, but has a tiller connection which I found I will not really need since the B&D's have a steering arm already attached to the nose block.) So all total, less than $150. I am a bit worried about the weight. Looks like the entire retract setup is going to come in at just over 1 lb. I'm hoping that won't be too much for the Patriot. If I ever get around to building it I'll let everyone know how they hold up on my grass field.

Regards,
