The engine is likely fine. Other than the spinner you lost, the only thing that can bend is the prop stud - that takes just a few seconds to replace. That is why the engine is designed that way No bent cranks.
I think the front bearing may have been damaged. If I rotate the bearing while applying gentle pressure toward the engine (anti thrust), I can feel it clicking in certain locations. Also, one of the bolts holding the muffler didn't break but instead broke a portion of the threaded area on the muffler. I have it completely disassembled now and that is the only damage I can detect. I can't check the runnout on the crank with my setup. Your experience is that the cranks don't bend?
