Default RE: Need a good second plane

ORIGINAL: redfox435cat

I always recommend a Piper cub for a second plane. I say get a GP 60 cub
Respectfully, I have to disagree. The ground handling of the Cub can be quite difficult. Especially so if a larger displacement (torquier) engine is used. The high wing, narrow and too-far-forward landing gear can make it a ground-looping, wing-tip-dragging monster.

Save the scale projects for later. A good second plane would be a Super Sportster, Big Stik, Sport Air .40, Kavalier etc.
