Default Fast, Small, Cheap

Although not extremely fast in terms of miles per hour. There is no question flying my 1/12 scale Pica P51 is fast. I replace the original OS FP 20 with a Novell .25 turning a 7" prop and the speed difference was amazing.

It's small size 34" span and 110+ mph speeds make it seem faster to fly than my diamond dust. Even though the true speed is not as fast. It gets very small in a hurry, and definatlly fills the need for speed.

An inexpensive easy to build kit, and inexpensive reliable motor, and a inexpensive 3 channel Focus 3 radio and for under $200 you have something that's fast and will keep you on your toes.

To get it to launch with the small prop I pretty much have to use a catapult. But it really picks up speed, going to a 9-4 prop makes hand launching easy, and it still looks fast but isn't like using the 8-6 or 7-7 prop.

Is anybody else going fast with small planes.
