Default RE: The Best and Worst 1/12 scale Warbirds

I flew RC Combat in the late 90's including Top Gun Demo and 2000 class 2105 national point champion. I flew all foam planes that were glassed, No longer available but some great flying planes. A seafury is wonderful as well as my Favorite Bearcat at 2 lbs with a K&B .21 with 30% Nitro was easily over 100 MPH. I was the fastest at the 99 and 2000 Nats by most estimates. For wood any of the Pica kits that I have flown are great as long as they are light with a big motor. An FP .20 stock is a dog for this application. Use small servos and battery. One OZ is a BIG deal!
My remaining plane is a Pica Corsair it is very popular at our club airshow since I fly it in formation with a 100" Ziroli Ccorsair. I know Jeff who kits the airkill series the TA-152 is a great flyer MVVS .26 I think with a Moose Can Muffler it really honks.
The Herget mustang in previous post was a good flyer as well. It cut my ribbon several times.
