Default Whiplash Hindges

Flyboy;
The hindges on a whiplash have two layers holding them
on. I carefully cut the bottom layer out with a dremel tool
and exacto knife. The top layer is kevlar so make sure you
dont cut or nick that. Once you get a gap cleaned out then
you can exersize the hindge up and down and loosen them
up. When the kevlar starts to crack on the top edges, thats
enough. Then you MUST clean and seal the underside opening
with tape. I use BLENDERM water proof medical tape.
I would not remove the ailerons and hindge them cause
there is not enough material to put the hindges into at
200 MPH speeds.

You are right about the ailerons wanting to set with a little
up in them. Thats about the right amount to use when you
launch the Whiplash. Then I trim them in the air to a flight
neutral. The 8411's cry most any time.
