Default RE: Official HPI Hellfire Thread

I think its NIMH. That’s how I’m charging it. I don’t see why you can’t use your servo just make sure the wires are the same as the stock ones.

This truck absolutely rocks just gear it up. Will let you know how it goes with 16, 17 and perhaps an 18-tooth clutch bell. Another thing I tried LST diffs for a fit and they slide right in. This could be an option for gearing up or to use as an upgrade because they’re much tougher. Mayhem ST gears are the same thing as LST only geared the same as the Hellfire. Not going to fool with that yet though.

I put the OS 30 with a 15 tooth on mine and it was way better that the stock 13 tooth. However it still had a slight nose down feel on jumps and a little more gearing will be necessary. I recommend shrink rapping the cvd pins and setscrews so they don’t fall out. It works like a charm. Make sure you check the motor mount plate bolts on the bottom and loctite all six of them or they will fall out.
