My heart sunk when I came across your post a few moments ago. As mentioned in an earlier post you feel like family from all that has been written, shared, and read on RCU. Hard to have a close friend go through such an experience and not be close by to help.
Amazing how life works... that rare handwritten note will be something special forever.
Those serving to protect us in the military should always be in our thoughts in minds for their work and sacrifices. Often we take this for granted until a situation like this wakes us up.
I thank you for sharing your story and posting your sons picture - a true hero.
