Default Heli gyro for airplane

I experimented with a mechanical gyro some years ago.
The plane was a Currare Pattern of Hanno Pretner design.
I installed the gyro on the ailerons, and you have no idea how perfect the setup was.

On a windy day, the plane flew on rails. 4 point rolls would stop dead in its tracks, and with the gusty conditions, when I landed, it came in with no wing rock at all.

Today if I were to do it again, I would use Piezo gyros set low, and no heading hold gyros.

Good luck.
