Default pz extra 300 d7xs setup

Hello everyone I'm picking up a used 300 from my lhs and i was wondering if any one had the basic setups for the dx7s.I download the book for it and don't understand the expo its talking about

Exponential Settings
Mike McConville exponential settings for Extra 300
40% on Low Rate for Ailerons, Elevator and Rudder
55% on High Rate for Ailerons
70% on High Rate for Elevator
45% on High Rate for Rudder

Are they positive or negotiate expos
I want to set the plane up to not be so extreme until i get use to it and then will set up as i learn this is my first high performance plane. But any help yall can give I would love
Thanks

Negative.

Though if you program them and try moving the surfaces, especially the elevator at 70 percent, you will notice pretty quickly if you have them backwards

Default

On JR and Spektrum radios, Positive expo moves the larger surface movement to the extremes of the sticks. Negative expo sets large movements near center stick.
