The kid in the video above flying one in his basement sold me. I ordered the edge-540 on line this morning too. I just called them and they said they did process my order and that they do have them. They did say that the shipping confirmation portion of their system was down however.

I would conclude that anyone who has their order in now will get one??

Yippee!

I saw the Shock Flyer 330S fly at our Indoor meet last night and
it is Great 3D flyer, best indoor 3D plane at the meet no doubt!!

Now for the Bad News almost every hobby shop is out of stock
in my area?[:@]

But I would never in a Million F*** ing Years order anything
from NESP because they are the Poorest Hobby Company
to do business with. Please see the thread in the Clubhouse
here at RCU if you need further information on this, & check
it out as it makes for some interesting reading. I think NESP
is lying about having these planes in stock.Customer Order
conformation sight down? How convenient?? If you are
brave enough? or other I'll be nice have them ship it out
Fed EX or UPS and provide a Tracking # so you can verify
that it has actually been shipped and your credit card not
charged for something you may never receive!!!!!!!!

My suggestion is to try Hobby Lobby as the price is the same
and they are taking advance orders for the next shipment
due in next Wednesday 02/11/04[8D]

Sorry to hear that. NESP called me today asking if I would take another model, I also ordered the 330. They were very curtious and helpful.

I got my Shockflyer at the WRAM Show. They were going fast though. I also got everything to put in the AXI brushless conversion from the Hobby Lobby website. Report back later, Gary

Default RE: best brushless motor for shockflyer?

how about the 2204/54 jeti 4 amp 2 cell 340 mah and the new 3.9 gram servos from balsa products (blue arrow) this will be my next set up now i have one with gws servos and 1 hs 55 for the alerons but think to save the weight on my next one i will use the blue arrow servos
i would say the 2204 if you want to fly indoor and a calm days

the 208/34 is on my other shocky and that one is mostly for outdoors and im sure i would fly it indoor more if i didnt have the other one ..

the lighter set up is 5.6 oz i did some little weight savings things as well. it flys great its the closet thing to a cd rom motor that you dont have to mess with

i am even flying with gws rx's in my shockys they work there is the ocaitional glich when flying indoor

Resurrecting this thread.
Hi from the UK
I have had a Ikarus Shockflyer for some 8 years or so. The motor has finally given up (Typhoon Micro 6/20) The magnets have come loose. Tried re-gluing. Did not work.

Anyhow. Looking for something to replace the motor. I usually use Hobbyking for most of my little bits. So any pointers there would be great.
I just cannot understand all the figures etc for guidance when choosing a motor. Do not really understand what they all mean. If someone can point me to a idiots guide for choosing motors that would be great.

Many thanks guys.

Keith
