He dragged you through the mud twice now? Expecting stuff like you owe it to him and then expecting you to overnight it free to get "even"?!?! Talk about ridiculous scum![:'(][:@][:-]

I hope things will get worked out!

Theres not much to work out... I just don't deal like that.

I'm still having a blast and have quickly learned that 1 in a few are bad apples... but that leaves all the rest of the other great people that love what I'm doing...

Hey Levi!

I was wondering is the team 3df thing up and running yet? I would love to fill out a form. Can you re fill a form if you are not chosen??hehe , or is that too greedy? Its so unfortunate that some idiots in this world made u shut the young guns program down.....

Btw i was wondering if some of your models can be made out of EPP foam sheets?

Hmm that's strange. I didin't feel the plane needed any extra gear. I mean what else can you put on it? I mean there are a few things on the plane that I modified myself. Instead of using the string back to the rudder I used a thin pushrod that came off my Tribute. Then I went out and bought some CA hinges instead of using tape. All that was at my expense. The Citabria went together really easy. I need to pick up a bigger motor before it perfoms the way I want it to. The brushed GWS motor just donesn't hack it.

The Citabria looks like a very nice camera platform. I'm thinking about putting a BlackWidow cam on it. Love to see some aerial shots of my neighborhood. I'll probably pick up a buddy box cable and use it as a small electric trainer.

I might talk to you later about distributing in my area. Since these things come in a small package, they leave a very small footprint in the hobby store. Plus I want to give a couple of them away at contests.

I'm just about all caought up on orders, so I'll be getting the Team 3DF page opened up soon. Gotta pack up all the kits cut over the weekend then I'll have some time to hit the HTML and get the website caught up to speed....

Thanks for the kind comments, it keeps me going. I amagine it's different for the president of a large company (maybe not) but when people come down on ya and it just you and your wife working as hard as possible....it hits home and effects ya more. But I'm learing that there are always those people out there....

If u have a Debit card which is a Visa, its just connected to your checking account. You can use it on the internet but just make sure you have enough money on the card.

How did you manage this one?
What bank did you go to?

I tried to sign up for a debit card (with my parents co-signing), and they said that nobody under 18 is allowed to have plastic (of any form) in the US... a federal law...
I couldn't even find a bank that would let me make withdrawls without my one of my parents present!

I eventually managed to find a place (M&T), but he said he was making an exception for me (lol).

Anyway, sorry to hear about the Young Guns being shut down... Was going to submit an app... but I saw it's shut down =[

Bought a combo from insanefoamies.com 2 weeks ago... got it put together incredibly fast.. was a blast to put together...
I couldn't refuse the good deal (I couldn't even find the parts for 300 bucks! [himaxx, CC ESC, Etec 1200mah 3s1p, 4 micro9, GWS feather] not including the cost of kit it came with)...
Mostly bought it just so I have all the stuff to build foamy 3D planes.. Now I'm going to try out different foamies and see what I like.

I would tell you how the plane I bought flies...
But it's kind of hard to say, since I've only flown it once so far...
It was incredibly windy that day, I'd have the throttle at 3/4, and the plane would just hang in the air fighting the wind.
Figured it was best to just bring it down... But the wind picked up when it got about 5-10 ft off the ground, and I figured I'd power up and go around... so I smacked the throttle to full... the BEC killed the engine, and plop the Edge went into the ground.
snapped part of the build underneath... A little bit of CA, and it's good as new

From that though, I could tell I really liked it...
So, I'm probably going to get some kits from you.. ($100 = free shipping I belive?), Not sure what ones yet...
cheaper than insanefoamies I belive...
I love Edges.. so I figure I might try yours... see how different it is...
heard good about the CAP too...
and I think a bipe might get some good looks from people...

Hmm... I think I maybe have decided on my planes.. lol.
Well, I'm going to stop rambling on... ;p

Anyway, I doubt I'll get to fly anymore for awhile...
suppose to have 45 mph winds tonight...
Oh yea... it's 35 degrees out.. that doesn't help me any...
Frozen thumbs anyone?
(typical buffalo weather ;p)

*EDIT*
Check out my gallery for pictures of the foamie.

btw, what's wrong with a team of 'young guns' that have 3D foamies...
Don't have to send out free kits or anything...
just a page dedicated to the young people of the hobby that enjoy flying your foamies?
Just submit in a picture... maybe a little description.. and post it...
I'm sure lot's of teens would love to show off themselves and their plane

Leety,

We tried to find different banks but they also said that u cannot have unless yur 18. Credit Union let me do a joint account with my mom since she obviously over 18. She can use the card too, but she doesn't.

Hmm... never tried our Credit Union
Thanks
You were able to get a Debit card from them? (I remember you posted something about a debit card previously, not sure if that's what you managed to get)

Becuase right now for online purchases, I use my Paypal account. It has my brothers Bank of america Debit card attached to it, so I can buy stuff that way.
But I never use any of his money, becuase I get money transfered to it from other people when I sell them things... From online games and such... That's how I got the money to buy my AW Edge, and some other goodies

Heh... it's like a job... except it's really fun... and I can use it as an excuse... Oh, sorry... I can't do anything today, I have to work!

Bah, need to stop rambling on in my posts.

Hey,
I was wondering about the Young and Guns program. What exacly was it. I heard it was shut down. I was wondering if it had a website of itself. I could start yalls own website for this. I am not all into foamy airplanes. I just have a shockflyer. I am more into the big gasers. Let me know about this. I would like to start something to promote more kids into r/c flying. I am only 15 years old now. Been flying for about 8 years. Let me know.

Just read on page 6, Sukhoi...
Here's the quote.

And oops! I didn't read it all.
In correction to my above post... (the one above my last)
The thing I was describing could be like Team 3D Foamy...
didn't see you post that part*
my bad.

ORIGINAL: 3D_Foamy

Heres the scoop....

I've had tons of fun sending out planes to you guys... The reason for it all was because when i was your age I seemed to always fall short on $ for a new plane.... The problem came along because this grew so big... people were expecting free kits like I owed it to them, and then started posting how aweful I was for it.... ( ethically, I have to take care of paying customers first...)

To make a long story short.... last month I had to "pause" the program to get some things worked out....

However I would like to introduce a new approach.... "Team 3D Foamy"

I'd like to build this under your suggestions....

Some of you are the best 3D Pilots I have ever seen fly.... and I don't think that one guys reckless comments should effect all you good guys out there.
