RE: Shock Flyer Carbon Fiber Mounts
IMSOFMAN,
What glue do you recommend on the AXIRRM-0. I know it fits the AXI 2208, but I have a Himax 2808 The himax is supposed to be a direct replacement for the AXI. Will it work on the Himax? I guess if the holes didn't line up i could use my aluminum mount that came with the Himax as a template and drill new holes.
How many .5mm CF strips did you use. I see the ones with the long side paraell to the foam, but when i look at the pic up colse it seems that there are some in the foam with their short sides showing through. can you explain? What is the smaller ones that apperr to be inside the foam, how long are they?
also can you get rid of the heavy triangle stock with this setup?
here is a link to the HImaxx specs: it has the mounting screw dimentions

here is what i am asking about above:

RE: Shock Flyer Carbon Fiber Mounts
there is now a better way, use the mjp carbon mount (part # axifm-1) and four 12 inch pieces of 1/16th round carbon rods.
I'll have pics soon.
