Sweet! Mine flew liek a brick, but it also weighed about 14-15oz... Thats what I get for running an AXI 2212/34 with 1100's and mini rather than micro servos...

One of these days I'm either going to get a tensor and set it up right with the e-flight 370 1080kv outrunner and an 880 3s pack, or I'll but just hte setupa nd revitalize my ultimate with new servos.

Aweomse flying dude, two thumbs up!

The word from California is that the Tensor flies like a pile.

And word from the guys in the hobby shop I work in and the other thread is that it flys great... I'm willing to try it, seeing as working in the business I can get things at cost it's worth it to try things.

Honestly it may be a while though, i need to get a bigger motor/batt for my icon first. It is out of a power system to power my latest foamy, then I can get the little stuff going.

You got to be joking me....

The tensor flys great. Its one of the best flying planes Ive ever flown. It does perfect knife edge. Really stable.
Think about it, The cabanes are WINGS....

It was good enough to win the Electric Tournament of Champions.

Ive been flying Ultimates for a while now, and the Tensor has FAR exceeded the Ultimate design in my opinion...not only in aerodynamics, but in capabilites too.

I hope that someone eventually makes a glow/gas plane of the tensor. I can imagine a DA100 powered 43% Tensor....(drooling)

Hey Pasty,
I noticed that you went with one aileron servo, mounted in the top wing. What servo are you using?

Nice Vid!

Thanks,
Jake

http://topcreationsrc.com/

click on mounts, mine is the mini 3/8 inch stick mount, mounts right up with the stock 3/8 stick that comes with the plane, quick simple light and a great product

Hey pasty,

What speed controller and prop are you using on your 2208/34. I like the power setup and lightweight plane that you have. I have this plane, I want to make the changes to mine that you have on yours. Great video too, are your those big planes in the foreground, I would like to see you hover one of those in the flight box [:-]. Anyhow good flying.

the tensor flys soooo awesome describing it like it flys like a pile must have been someone who built it like a pile ......why would Mark Leseberg Jr, George Hicks, and Mike McConville fly a pile the tensor is smooth flying fully 3d capable airplane and it does the coolest knife edge loops lol

bdavison ---- 43% that would be quite a plane (drooling as well)

Pasty,
The Tensor flies sweet. I also have an Ulti that I haven't finished, all glued up, just haven't installed the servos or power set-up.
I'm going to go with the single servo, like yours, that looks like a great idea! I have a few motors that would work well, haven't decided which one yet, maybe my HiMaxx 2208-980 with a Phoenix 10 and Apogee 3S1P 830 mAh packs.

Yeah baby, that sounds like a plan!!

I LUV THIS HOBBY!!!!!

maybe the tensor i flew was set up wrong, i talked with george about it, i think my feelings for the tensor was unjust and my intent was not to bash it, next time i will give it a better chance. john

Hi Devin - I'll have to check again but I believe its balanced on the horizontal cf rod that goes from the side force generators to the fuse. To be honest though I'm really not sure. I put a long enough piece of velcro on the side of the fuse so I can move the battery fore and aft, and adjust the cg. (I have a few different size packs) I'm away from home right now so I don't have access to my planes - otherwise I'd check for you to give you a better answer. The Tensor at the ideal Cg should exhibit minimal or no pitch coupling with rudder, and just a little roll coupling (i forget if its proverse or adverse).
hope this helps - next time I go home I can check

A 43% tensor would be rediculously small and probably not fly very well.
